This Japanese edition includes the exclusive Pokéwalker accessory, a pedometer that allows players to transfer a Pokémon and earn rewards by walking in real life.
Players begin their journey in the Johto region, facing Gym Leaders, the Pokémon League, and the legendary Lugia. After the main story, trainers can also explore the Kanto region, making it one of the largest Pokémon adventures ever.
